It supports DigitalOcean Spaces. I’m the author of the plugin.

Should note that Spaces in its current incarnation leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to others though. It’s slow, S3 API compatibility is limited.

I second this. Can spaces be used as a CDN for example? Otherwise I don’t know the usefulness of spaces or am I missing something?

I support this as well. So far there is no plugin that works for DigitalOcean Spaces.

@interfacelab Is your plugin still in development? I noticed in the video you stated this only works one way in terms of never able to go back to standard WP. We are currently using W3 Offload and I’m looking for something that will allow us to pull the files back from Digital Ocean Spaces back to the server, if needed. Will this be provided at some point in the future if not available now?

  • The other question I have is, if all the stuff is offloaded to object storage, what happens if I migrate the site to somewhere else? How does the plugin currently handle the file’s location address?

Looks like this plugin is specific for Digital Ocean:

I don’t have experience to do this. But, I’m planning to do that later. There were tutorial about this.

DigitalOcean Spaces Sync offers direct compatibility with DigitalOcean Spaces. You can use it to connect your media library to your Space, and it offers options for storing your items on your server and Space, or on your Space alone.
