port not listening for outside connections

jboss port . when i use wget 198.211.117.63/login.htm , I am getting connection refused , but when I use wget localhost/login.htm my application login page is getting downloaded . May I know why the port is not listening for outside connections ?

You would need to check your config for that and also run:

# netstat -lnp

Then you will see on which IPs/ports all of your connections are listening on to confirm.
