Postgres problem after Bundle installation

December 23, 2013 1.7k views
I got this message after trying to start the rails server... Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"? I have tried many many solutions, but noone really worked. I believe it has something to do with the way Digitalocean has created the default application with Ruby/Postgres and Nginx+Unicorn

The error means that PostgreSQL is not running. Did you install Postgres?

If you used the one-click ruby image, check out https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-launch-your-ruby-on-rails-app-with-the-digitalocean-one-click-image.
