Thanks Nick for the suggestion, it looks like Filepicker.io is a hosted service? I’d like something I can host on a DO droplet and modify to my requirements.

Filepicker.io seems pretty steep given it’d cost me $29 a month for the Filepicker service lowest teer, plus my DO droplet that is hosting my site already, then I’d have to pay for S3 storage.

Bearing in mind Filepicker has limited file uploads (2000 per month) and a filesize restriction of 100MB (again, on the lowest teer), people won’t be able to upload videos taken on most modern smartphones as they’re likely over 100MB and certainly not ones from cameras.

The social media integration is great but my point is to encourage my guests NOT to upload the photos to social media sites.

I’ll also, likely have to maintain this service for perhaps a few months after the wedding to catch the stragglers.

A budget of, lets say, $200-300 dollars to run this for a few months is not likely to be signed off by the boss (my fiancée) in the wedding budget ;)

P.S. Why doesn’t DO give me an option to filter community by my own questions? Took me ages to find this again and I didn’t get an email notification.
