I understand each droplet has a 2gbps public connection but was trying to figure out what speed the private network is between droplets?

Hello there, @Mutters

The speed for the Private Network is the same as the public one.

  • Hi @alexdo,

thanks for the reply here. I’d like to clarify one aspect of this: does the 2Gbps limit apply across both interfaces, or on each? i.e.: do we get 2x2Gbps, where the public and the private interface get 2Gbps each, or is this a global limit, so that if I have 1Gbps going on public and 1Gbps on private, that that caps my allowance?

Either is fine, I’d just like to be clear :)

    • Hello,

Connection speed is common, all ports at physical node are capped at 2GBps and all Droplets share the speed. You will have the speed for both interfaces set at 2Gbps each.

      Hope this helps!

      • Hi @alexdo,

thanks for the reply. So just to make sure, if the public device is using 1GBps, the private device only has another 1GBps available?
