RAM, memory usage GRAPH over time
Posted October 8, 201326.1k views
Anyone who knows a way to see memory usage over time? Like if I did "free -m" every second 24h. Preferably as a graph to see when and why peak values occur and to better estimate how much RAM my VPS needs (Ubuntu 12.04, 64bit LEMP running Joomla with community members image uploads etc.)
In this article, we will discuss how to install and configure the Cacti server monitoring software on Ubuntu 12.04. Cacti is a web-based monitoring solution that can graph system statistics of both local and remote machines.
We are grabbing the stats for the droplets from the hypervisor layer so unfortunately we do not get visibility in some of the more fine grained metrics, but we will most likely at some point begin working on an agent that customers can install that will do metrics collection to provide additional graphs.
