Recommended sysctl.conf settings for web server?

Posted on June 27, 2013

I was looking at these articles, there are few variances

http://joshrendek.com/2013/01/securing-ubuntu/#sysctl – taken from NSA recommendations http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-kernel-etcsysctl-conf-security-hardening/ – great linux site in general I’ve found

I created a gist/diff to see the differences, some were just adding comments. Some good definitions are here: http://wwwx.cs.unc.edu/~sparkst/howto/network_tuning.php but I’m no linux guru at this level of networking

Which setting should I use for a web server?

Could an admin correct my title to state sysctl.conf in case others search by the proper name
