Renew a DO space SSL

Posted on January 19, 2021

I have created a DO space with a custom sub-domain, I chose that DO will manage and create the SSL, everything was setup in seconds, and after some months the certificate has expired, And for my bad in a demo day, anyway, I thought that DO automatically renews the certificates he creates, I checked every part of the control panel, and there is in’t a way to renew it (nor manually nor automatically), the only place that gave some useful in formations is in (cloud.digitalocean.com/account/security), I found the name of my certificate with expries at (2 days ago), With a disabled delete button, So how can I renew it, and how to make DO automatically renew his certificates, and if it’s not possible then why suggesting to create it in the first place ???

Hello, @khalilbenzinebAngler

If you’ve added your domain to DigitalOcean, you use DigitalOcean’s Let’s Encrypt certificates, which are fully managed and renewed on your behalf every 60 days. You also have the option to manually upload an SSL certificate if you use a different DNS provider or want to upload an existing certificate.

If the certificate is still not renewed I will recommend you to get in touch with our amazing support team.

Hope that helps! Regards, Alex.
