Resetting and accessing Droplet password

I would like to reset/change our droplet password however, On the reset password page it says "This will shut down your droplet and a new root password will be set and emailed to you."

My question is - If the droplet is shutdown and a new password is set via email, will I be able to access the droplet once I have the new password or do I have to create a new droplet if it gets shutdown?

The function that resets your root password does require rebooting your droplet but it does not destroy it nor will it have any effect on your files or configuration aside from the password change itself. This warning is just to notify you that the droplet will reboot and be unavailable for up to a few minutes while the reset is processed.
