Searching for interactive database

Hey Community,

I am looking for an written interactive database project that will allow user enter information in, and store information in database, and also be able to pull information compiled as a form from database. Do you know any such open source project that can be easily deployed (when i say easy, i mean the best will be having some detail documentation here in digital ocean) on Ubuntu 14.04?

Also I don’t see any digital ocean forum here that i can hang out.

So essentially i am looking for something like “job application” type of thing. user log in and create their own application and user can view and edit the application as well. As far as you know, what tool should i use? Or if you know any apps that is already there to deploy, let me know. Or I am fine with doing little bit code modification if there is something that is similar to what i am looking for. Thank you so very much for your response!

" but I don’t know where to start"

Easy. Download and unpack the phpMyAdmin archive in a subdirectory of your server web root folder (/var/www/html/). So say you unpack all the files in /var/www/html/phpmyadmin , direct your browser to youripaddress/phpmyadmin , and enter the administrator username (root by default) and the root password to enter phpMyAdmin. From here, you can create databases, tables, and edit or add records.

Usually, though, web-based database GUIs are developed for specific purposes; phpMyAdmin is very generic and a bit “geeky”. It is not designed for everyday user and data interaction.

You would probably achieve better results installing a framework/CMS that suits your specific user and data collection needs.

I heard about phpMyAdmin, but I don’t know where to start, is there a open source project out there that i can use or study for the database i described?
