So I was trying to setup one of these https://github.com/staltz/ssb-room/ by following this guide https://github.com/staltz/ssb-room/blob/master/manual-setup.md on a droplet (because the DO ‘automatic setup button provided in the first link does not work) and I got all the way through and the room itself worked (mobile app ManyVerse can connect to it) but after a few moments of getting connected, it always disconnects users again randomly.

Any idea why that might be?

What I could suggest is making sure that the server has enough resources, you could use the steps here on how to check that:

If adding more resources does not help, I could suggest raising an issue on the official GitHub repository and providing more details about the problem:
