I wish to transfer quite a bit of files from 1 droplet to another in the same region. Is there anything like ftp for ubuntu console?

SFTP is a secure way to transfer files between local and remote servers. Much more secure than FTP, this protocol uses an SSH tunnel to establish a connection and uses encryption to transfer files in an interactive session.

Another option is rsync. It's great for moving large amounts of data as it lets you do things like resume interrupted transfers and add compression on the fly.

Rsync is a simple tool for intelligently syncing local and remote directories. In this article we will explore the basic usage of this utility to copy files from directory to directory and from system to system.

can we use scp for the above case ??
