Yes, you can receive the root password on your e-mail account. To do so, enter your control panel with DigitalOcean, go to your Droplet and click on access. There you can reset your root password.
The password itself will be automatically reset and send to your e-mail account. From there, you can enter your droplet via the Console and change it with the command passwd to whatever you want.
