Server stability and payment issue

Hello, i am new to outline (Beginner user) and i had joy using it for a few hours. I created a digitalocean server with the 1TB/M for $5, but after ¾ hours, the server stopped responding. I then destroyed the server and created a new one which seems to be working okay now.

The only problem is, i think that it will stop working again as i have received no notifications about billing (both times) ? I dont want to be charged twice but i am keen on using this outline service but would like assurance that i have paid for a working server.

Hi @ricardoxavier88,

You’ll need to add a cart or a payment method before actually being able to configure any droplet and work on it. If you don’t have any method configured it might explain why your servers works only for 30 minutes.

Additionally, when the server stops working what happens? Can you ping the server, can you ssh to it?

  • I added my bank details which has allowed me to set up a servers through Digital ocean but have not received any payment confirmation. Is this normal?

    I’m not sure what SSH means as i mainly use this to bypass China’s firewall. Last time round, i was able to connect to Outline but there was no traffic flowing through. So far, I have been running on the new server for a good 2 hours.
