Question

Setup 1 click Wordpress not loading

I setup wordpress and created the login information. But once I changed the IP address to point to my domain name, now the blog wont load in my browser. How do I change the URL info back to the IP address so I can figure out what is the problem.

Also the blog is not loading correctly, which is a strange issue.

Hello, @bivianocortinas

You can double-check if the DNS is configured properly. The A record for your domain name needs to be pointed to the IP address of the droplet.

Also, you can adjust the HOME / SITEURL for the WordPress installation manually through the database or via the wp-config.php file with the following code snippet. Add these two lines to your wp-config.php, where “example.com” is the correct location of your site. You can set the home and SITEURL to be the IP address of the droplet as well.

  1. define( 'WP_HOME', 'http://example.com' );
  2. define( 'WP_SITEURL', 'http://example.com' );

Hope that this helps! Regards, Alex
