Question

Shared Disk Space between Droplets

I was wondering if there is a way to setup a Share Disk Space, IE: I want a Network Disk Space to attach to my droplets so I can set up users space pointing to that disk space for both droplets. I saw you can add block storage to a droplet, but what I am looking for is an independent storage so that when I spin up a droplet, I can attach to that storage and use it between droplets.

Hi there,

I would also suggest using Spaces for this as Alexdo mentioned.

An alternative option is to setup an NFS server. You can do that by following the steps here:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-nfs-mount-on-ubuntu-20-04

This will however require some more server configuration and then maintenance compared to just using Spaces.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
