Question

Should I setup domain if I use openvpn to connect to my app's droplet which is in private network?

I have a droplet with my frontend app, openvpn and nginx setup as reverse proxy in it and another droplet with my backend app in it and both in a private network. Should I setup a domain for the frontend app in this case? The frontend app is suppose to be used by people from my company only.

Just forgot the mention, I asked about domain name because I am thinking to use let’s encrypt for the communications between the two droplets. Or is it suffice to just use private network? Any suggestions?

Hello,

Yes I think that it is a good idea to use a domain name. If you don’t have one already you can register a free one with Freenom as described here.
