×It depends on the hypervisor your droplet is on. If it it doesn’t have enough space for an upgraded droplet, you will not be able to upgrade your droplet. But you can take a snapshot and re-deploy it so that it’s deployed on a different hypervisor.
I mean, do Singapore hypervisors have smaller hardware as compared to other DCs?
this doesn’t make much sense because i’m trying to fast resize to less resources. Seems like fast-resize is just disabled for droplets in SG DC
You can’t fast-resize a droplet past its original size, so you can fast-resize a droplet to a smaller plan only if you have fast-resized it to a larger plan in the past.
In other words, if you create a 2GB droplet, you cannot resize it down to 1GB or 512MB. But, if you fast-resize it to 4GB, you can then fast-resize it back to 2GB.
