I have uploaded through fileZilla, but when I go to my website, it redirects to and then I get the above error. I followed all the steps in all tutorials regarding installation and configuration of the droplet, so I am not quite sure where to go from here. I used SSH and my files come from a Lumen Application.

If your browser is attempting to load as a web page you have a pretty serious issue in your configuration. is a DNS server and does not serve web content. To ensure that your domain is properly pointed to your droplet I recommend following this guide.

This article walks you through setting up the DNS for your site. The tutorial includes steps to set up an A records, point your nameservers, and provides some information about MX records.
  • I should also note. Based on what you described, the most likely cause is that when pointing your domain to our DNS servers with your registrar you enabled a redirect to (web forwarding) rather than changing the DNS servers configured for your domain.
