I have uploaded through fileZilla, but when I go to my website, it redirects to ns1.digitalocean.com and then I get the above error. I followed all the steps in all tutorials regarding installation and configuration of the droplet, so I am not quite sure where to go from here. I used SSH and my files come from a Lumen Application.

If your browser is attempting to load ns1.digtialocean.com as a web page you have a pretty serious issue in your configuration. ns1.digitalocean.com is a DNS server and does not serve web content. To ensure that your domain is properly pointed to your droplet I recommend following this guide.

This article explains how to manage your DNS records using the DigitalOcean Control Panel and can help you decide if DigitalOcean's DNS management tools are right for your situation.
  • I should also note. Based on what you described, the most likely cause is that when pointing your domain to our DNS servers with your registrar you enabled a redirect to ns1.digitalocean.com (web forwarding) rather than changing the DNS servers configured for your domain.
