My idea is to spin up droplets on demand (maybe for just 15 minutes) and I was wondering how much I would be billed. E.g. if I need the smallest instance for 8 x 15 minutes (not consecutively or maybe even parallel) will it cost me 8 x 0.007$ or 0.014$ in the end ?

Every spin off will be charged as 1 hour given that you delete / destroy the droplet completely from your account…
So 15 mins / 30 mins of 59 min, it would cost of 1 hour fee…
Powering off would still keep the billing going unless you completely delete the droplet from the account…
