Hello there!
I have a really annoying problem since i set up a new droplet on Ubuntu 13.04 x64.
When i run Squid3 without any authentication it’s working perfectly fine. But as soon as i add the authentication with auth_basic it’s getting hard’n’heavy.
I specified a squid_users file and my browser is prompting me to enter my credentials. When i enter them the user prompt is displaying again…and again…and again… and again…
For example Ubuntu 12.10 the same config works fine.
does anyone have the same problem or maybe a solution for it?
greetings from cold austria!

It could be a config related issue in an updated version of Squid that is available in the 13.04 repos but isn’t available in the 12.10 repos.

Try looking in the manual/google it as I’ve never used Squid.
See if you can find something that might help here: http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/Authentication?highlight=(faqlisted.yes)
