Question

SSH Key doesn't work on droplet after a rebuild

So I borked my config and decided to just reset everything and rebuilt my droplet. I have an SSH key setup on my DigitalOcean account. After rebuilding, the SSH key doesn’t work and I’m unable to log in using a password since it only wants a key.

I can log in with the password on the web console, but that thing is terrible. I can view authorized_key and see that it’s not actually using the one I have in my account, but I can’t copy and paste the correct key in because the console is so broken.

The solution was to log in using the web access console and then do the steps here to enable a password https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/enable-both-password-and-key-file-to-ssh-logon-in then log in with a real ssh client so that you can actually copy and paste the key.
