Question

sshd config not changing port on droplet

Has anyone else come across a droplet that doesn’t use or ignore the sshd_config file? I tried changing ports and it just ignores it

Heya @jamestervit,

That shouldn’t be the case. Have you restarted the sshd service after the change?

Additionally, check your included folders in /etc/ssh/sshd_config.d, see if there are any files there that could have another port configured.

Additionally, you can try to find any port inclusions. like

grep -ri Port /etc/ssh/*
