SSL & Apache & Wordpress & certbot
I have a wordpress website on a dropplet (openLiteSpeed wordpress 1-click)
I had to renew the ssl certificate but I managed to do some dumb things.
The “sudo certbot renew –dry-run” does'nt work (failed authorisation procedure)
and “sudo certbot –apache -d mywebsite.co -d www.mywebsite.co” makes an error too.
So I figured the simple way out of this mess is to reset the dropplet and start fresh with a new stock install.
But I dont want to lose my wordpress website.
What’s the best way to fix this situation ? I have copied the html folder from /var/ from the dropplet.
Can I easily copy paste it to a new dropplet ? What about the database ? and all the extensions, pages and database ?
Oh, and I procrastinated this problem, now my website shows an error (ssl certificate outdated) but it is in production so.. not very nice for my customers.. That’s why I need a quick way to fix it.
