HI,
I am trying to find a price for a staging droplet/site, but cannot figure it out. We have a droplet about 7$/month. Would we pay the same amount for a staging droplet?

The second question, I understood earlier that Singapore server was full (3 years ago when we asked about it). Is there now room in the Singapore server to have a copy of the site/droplet?

The third question, is is possible to set up geolocation DNS by using DigitalOcean interface?

I tried to find answers to these from the website but could not find answers. Help would be appreciated!

Hi @Amymattian,

You can always use the smallest droplet DigitalOcean has to offer. Tthe price is 5$ per month. You can check the pricing here:

https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing

Having said that, I’ll urge you to check the billing documentation and how billing is formed :

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/billing/

DigitalOcean billing cycles are monthly. Your account balance accrues over the course of the calendar month based on the cost of the resources you use. DigitalOcean are also required by law to apply taxes for certain countries.

DigitalOcean automatically invoices and charge your account’s primary payment method on the first day of each month for the previous month’s usage, or partway through the month if you exceed your account’s usage threshold.

Additionally, based on bandwidth, you can have other changes. Droplets
Droplets include free outbound data transfer, starting at 1,000 GiB/month for the smallest plan. Excess data transfer is billed at $0.01/GiB. For example, the cost of 1,000 GiB of overage is $10. Inbound bandwidth to Droplets is always free. You can read more about it here:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/billing/bandwidth/

As for your question about Singapore. You can have a droplet in the following zones:

  • New York
  • San Francisco
  • Amsterdam
  • Singapore
  • London
  • Frankfurt
  • Toronto
  • Bangalore

Hope this helps!
