Hello
I’m hoping the community can help in my understanding of updating nameservers and creating a DNS record. I have opened a ticket and emailed Digital Ocean two and a half days ago now and haven’t had a response…
I followed DO’s guide on changing nameservers at GoDaddy. I have contacted GoDaddy yesterday to confirm that the following nameservers have been updated with them: ns1.digitalocean.com ns2.digitalocean.com ns3.digitalocean.com
This was done on the 2nd, Friday evening.
I have created the following DNS records: CNAME www.takeadifferentjourney.com is an alias of takeadifferentjourney.com A takeadifferentjourney.com
However my domain still shows 502 Bad Gateway. Typing in the IP address works fine.
I’ve done a bit of reading and it sounds like it can take up to 48 hours for the nameservers to propagate. However it is coming up to 4 days now and still no change.
Is it normal to take 4+ days for this to take effect? I am new to this so perhaps I’m being a bit impatient. Any help in further understanding this process will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! Dan

The problem was related to the settings.py file.
