my subdomain is whitelotus.tibinfotech.com is pointing to main domain tibinfotech.com even after setting up virtual host.
DNS settings for subdomain as :
A record
whitelotus : IP address
CNAME
*.whitelotus : whitelotus.tibinfotech.com.
document directory path is /var/www/whitelotus.tibinfotech.com/public_html
virtual hosting settings is:
ServerName whitelotus.tibinfotech.com ServerAlias whitelotus.tibinfotech.com
ServerAdmin: email address
DocumentRoot /var/www/whitelotus.tibinfotech.com/public_html
i restart the apache after setting is done. still i couldn’t link subdomain to subfolder whitelotus.tibinfotech.com’s public_html.

Is your new virtualhost configuration in a file in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled? Did you by chance create it in sites-avaialble instead? If you did you will need to run an a2ensite in order to enable the new virtualhost.
In the instruction it is written sudo a2ensite example.com. I left the .conf extension. After running a2ensite with .conf extension it worked.
