Question

Subdomain pointing to Spaces

Hi, I have a subdomain cdn.example.com

I have pointed the Nameservers to DigitalOcean:

In Digitaloceans Network settings how do I now point it to my space

I would have thought that I would see my space in the WILL DIRECT TO dropdown?

Hi there @davidtgill,

What I would usually do in this case is to add my main domain name to DigitalOcean and manage all of its DNS records through DigitalOcean. That way you could add a CNAME record for the specific subdomain.

The way you have it currently, the cdn.yourdomain.com is considered as the main domain and you will not be able to add a CNAME record directly that way.

Alternatively, the way you currently have it set up, it should work with an extra subdomain, for example, spaces.cdn.yourdomain.com.

Let me know how it goes. Regards, Bobby
