This site can't be reached after SSL Certificate Installation - Apache Linux

Site will display “This site can’t be reached” if using https on my website, but if I use http, its working. I’m using Apache Linux.

DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"                              
ServerName example.com                              
ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost                            
ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log                        
CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access.log "combined"           

SSLEngine on                                               
SSLProtocol +TLSv1.1 +TLSv1.2                              
SSLCertificateFile /var/ssl/example.crt         
SSLCertificateKeyFile /var/ssl/example.key      
SSLCACertificateFile /var/ssl/example.ca-bu

Hi there,

After you installed the certificate, did you restart Apache? Make sure to run a config test before doing so:

sudo apachectl -t

Only if you get Syntax OK then try restarting Apache:

sudo systemctl restart apache2
