Our site + application was working perfectly for the last 2 years. However, today both or give a “This site can’t be reached”/ . Checked DNS, all looks fine. Going to the IP ( directly gives the same error.

Sorry to see that your question hasn’t received an answer yet. It looks like your website is loading properly now—that’s great.

In case anyone who’s experiencing the same issue lands on this page, I’d recommend following a few steps to try and narrow down the issue:

  • Make sure DNS is set up correctly and that your domain is pointing to your Droplet’s IP address
  • Check if you have any firewalls enabled, and make sure that HTTP traffic (incoming TCP on port 80) is allowed
  • Make sure your web server is running. Run this command to check if a process with the name apache is running: sudo ps wwaux | grep apache. Substitute apache with nginx or your webserver’s binary name if you are not using Apache
  • Try a different network, the issue could be local

If none of that helps, please open a new question and we’d be happy to take a look.
