Everything I do leads back to the password being incorrect. VNC asks for a login password but does not let me use my root password that was just emailed to me. When attempting to set up SFTP connection with filezilla I get a repeated exit code 1 which indicates my password is wrong. What am I missing here?

This question was answered by @ryanpq:
Have you attempted to log in via an ssh client like PuTTY? There are a few things to note with a new droplet.
- The web console does not support copy/paste functions so if you are attempting to paste your new password into the console this will not work.
- It is not possible to make an SFTP connection to a new droplet until you have first connected via ssh. When you do connect via ssh you will be prompted to replace the temporary password with one of your own. After you do this you should not encounter issues connecting with Filezilla.
