I have been trying to allow two new port 465 and 587 using ufw but can’t because it gives me error - ERROR: Bad port. Please can you tell me someone why I am getting this error.
However, I have used the command sudo ufw allow 465/smtp

SMTP can be handled by TCP or UDP. So you can’t simply specify 465/smtp You’ll need to use:
sudo ufw allow 465/tcp
or drop the protocol all together for either.
