Question

Unable to Select Dedicated CPU

Hello, I signed up for Digital Ocean just today and was able to receive $200 in trial credits. I wanted to use a dedicated cpu plan specifically the one thats optimized towards memory. However, upon signing up and creating a droplet i noticed i was unable to select it. My friend who was the one who originally told me about Digital Ocean is currently using that plan with his trial he did sign up a few days before me but when i asked him about it he said he did the same exact steps i did and was able to select it. I am wondering if there is a reason i am not able to select the plan even though he was able to?

Hey @jay,

That’s in fact very interesting, possibly there is some kind of restriction on your account. Have you confirmed your e-mail?

Additionally, it might be good to contact DigitalOcean’s support to matter like this one, they have access to your account information and can give you the exact reason behind this.

Hope that helps! - KFSys.
