Unable to Use Console, WordPress Install Prompt Won't Go Away

Hi All!

I installed WordPress on my DropLet using the Console. The site is working fine. Now I need to change the upload limit. I edited the php.ini file and the next step is to restart services for the change to take effect.

Every time I open the console the WordPress install prompt comes up. I can’t get rid of it to type in a new command. I tried the console from the DigitalOcean panel and the Terminal app on my laptop, the same result.

How can I get rid of the WP install prompt?

Thanks! Dinsan

Thank you, I edited the file. (Changing the permission wasn’t enough.)

Hello there,

I believe the WordPress install script is triggered from the ~/.bashrc file. You can open the file and modify the line which triggers the install script or simply remove or chmod (change the permissions) the file.

Hope that this helps!
