simply, what is the difference between both???

I was reading about both of them and seems that Uncomplicated Firewall is not as good as Config Server Firewall…!!

also, Config Server Firewall uses advance tech to protect from XSS and so on… Besides, it has extra checks over Uncomplicated Firewall when comparing both…

please anyone correct me if I’m wrong…

fmcb, I would also like to know the answer to this, but in the meantime can you provide a reference link to where you read that one is better than the other please?

Heya,

UFW is a host-based tool. That is, it has to be configured on each Droplet separately and add the necessary rules manually.

On the other hand, Config Server Firewall (CSF) provides more advanced features and comprehensive security functionalities, including intrusion detection, login failure detection, and protection against various types of attacks like XSS. It offers granular control over firewall rules and is preferred for complex server setups or environments requiring advanced security measures.
