Whenever a file is tried to upload, after certain percentage of upload it automatically restarts uploading and after few attempts it shows a “Webpage is not available” error.
Folder permission and owner seems alright. 777 and admin:www-data

How big is the file that you’re trying to upload? What’s the output of the following commands?
sudo grep -ri client_max_body_size /etc/nginx
sudo grep -Ei "(upload\\_max\\_filesize|post\\_max\\_size)" /etc/php5/fpm/php.ini
