Uploading images to my server, need help!

Posted on October 16, 2018

Hey everyone, I recently started hosting a website on a droplet, and am having some difficulty with file uploads. I am currently using Ubuntu and Nginx. I’m very unfamiliar with back-end programming and accessing the terminal on my computer. I have been accessing my website through PuTTY, logging into the root user on my computer, and adding/editing html files through the “nano” on there. I would like to upload an image to a webpage, and really have no clue where to start. I can’t link in the image with a “src” in some <img> tags, because I really have no idea where to link to within my src tags. If someone could give me a detailed explanation, as I’m a beginner, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Heya,

Consider using WinSCP. It is fairly easy to use, just add your credentials and select the sftp protocol and log’in. You will find all the info on how’to use the program here.
