Is it possible to use more than one marketplace item at a time when setting up a new droplet? For example: LEMP, Node.js, cpanel/whm, etc?

Hello, @therevtastictj

Currently, one-click apps are not scripts that install an app on top of a base OS image for you. They are separate images which include the OS and the software so this would not be a straightforward thing to implement. We are discussing many ways to improve the one-click app experience in the future.

You can always install one of the applications and then manually configure the rest of your requirements, e.g you can install cPanel/WHM and then configure the LEMP stack and the Node.js as well.

Hope this helps!

Alex

  • Okay!

Thank you so much for the response @alexdo!

Is there any documentation on doing such? I’m sort of a beginner when it comes to this so any walk throughs or tutorials for setting up LEMP and Node.js after cpanel/whm to make sure they all work and communicate with each other would be very useful.

If nott it’s okay and I can always try to google for something!

    • Hello, @therevtastictj

You can provision the droplet/server using the marketplace app for cPanel/WHM and then configure the LEMP stack and the Node.js

cPanel does not support Nginx by default as well Node.js but you can still configure them since it’s a CentOS server. You can use Engintron for cPanel or configure it manually, it’s totally up to you. Both should work fine but Engintron has an integration for the WHM menu, e.g you can control it from the control panel in WHM.

You can find more information about Engintron and the install process by following this link:

      https://github.com/engintron/engintron

You can install Node.js from the command line. We have a tutorial about this, so you can simply follow this link:

      Hope this helps!

Node.js is a popular Javascript platform that is used for server-side programming. In this guide, we will discuss quite a few different ways of installing Node.js on a CentOS 7 server.
