Using "No Sql" database with Digital Ocean App deployment

Posted on May 17, 2021

I’d like to take advantage of Digital Ocean’s “App deployment”, but I don’t seem to find an option for no-sql database. The type doesn’t much matter, as this is new development and the initial usage will be light.

What is the easiest and most cost effective way to do this?

Hi there,

In case that Redis fits your needs, what you could do is create a Managed Redis cluster via this link here:

https://www.digitalocean.com/products/managed-databases-redis/

And then you could add that pre-created Redis cluster to your App platform via the existing managed database list. For more information, you could take a look a the documentation here.

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/app-platform/how-to/manage-databases/

Hope that this helps and let me know if you have any questions! Regards, Bobby
