Question
Virtualhost subdomain pointing to main domain (httpd)
Hey guys,
Okay I’m getting really frustrated w/ this issue. I have a domain “domain.com” and a subdomain “portal.domain.com”
My records are as follows:
A: @, IP
A: portal, IP
NS: the 3 default NSs.
My httpd.conf looks like this:
ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
Listen 80
Include conf.modules.d/*.conf
User apache
Group apache
ServerAdmin root@localhost
NameVirtualHost *:80
ServerName www.domain.com
ServerAlias domain.com
<Directory />

Require all denied
</Directory>
DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"
<Directory "/var/www">

</Directory>
<Directory "/var/www/html">

</Directory>

This is the default httpd.conf that came w/ httpd on CentOS7. I haven’t modified it in anyway aside from adding the “NameVirtualHost *:80” line.
My additional conf file is in /conf.d/ and looks like this:

This is the default OTRS conf file aside from me adding the VirtualHost and the servername.
Using this setup, both the portal.domain.com and domain.com point to domain.com. I can’t access my OTRS from either location anymore using this setup. If I remove the VirtualHost info from the OTRS config file then I’m able to access the OTRS using domain.com/otrs/index.pl but both domain and subdomain still point to domain.com
Can someone please help me figure this out? Thank you!
