Virtualmin Roundcube error

HI Installed Roundcube using Virtualmin, all is fine at the login page.

When trying to log in, the error appears:

[domain] page isn’t working

[domain] is currently unable to handle this request.

The websites work fine and the control panel Virtualmin shows that emails are being received, just cannot log in.

Anyone have an idea on what the problem is? The error logs don’t point to anything. Could it be a setting with Digital Ocean?



Thanks. I had that hunch but just cannot find the issue. Emails are being received, I can see them listed, but it won’t let me connect.

One question I have is in the DO control panel, why does it have all the A Records, MX Records, etc. - isn’t that information the Domain Registrar has to have completed? Should everything I put in my domain registrar’s fields exactly match that in DO records? A bit confusing to me. Thanks

It’s unlikely to have anything to do with DO since the ability to load the roundcube interface is completely managed within your droplet. I would recommend checking with the Roundcube project to see if this is a common error message and what the recommended debugging steps are. The fact that nothing is showing up in your error log indicates that this issue is happening at the application rather than the web server level.

The answer for anyone new (like me) is:

soon as you change your NameServers to your VPS’ site (like then your VPS manages all the records, not the registrar. Any DNS records should be made at your VPS.

Very little information is provided on this but it is key.
