Hello @chapristi

OpenVPN Access Server doesn’t redirect HTTP requests by default because it doesn’t come with an HTTP (insecure) web server daemon. That means if your administrators or end users visit your Access Server’s web address using just HTTP, they get a “page not found” response.

The OpenVPN daemons and web services affect each other. By default, OpenVPN Access Server comes configured with OpenVPN daemons listening on UDP port 1194 and TCP port 443. Access Server’s web services also use TCP 443 for the web interfaces.

Hope that this helps!

Hi there,

I believe that the way that the image is configured it will alwasy required HTTPS connection, even if you set the port to be a non-secure port like 80, you would still need to access the admin UI via HTTPS, eg: https://123.45.67.89:80/admin/.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
