What are we supposed to do when this happens? I’ve sent a ticket out 2 hours ago, posted on Facebook and Twitter with no response as of yet.
The control panel is locked down and the status is “EVENT PROCESSING”…

Opening a ticket is the best way to go here. The backup process does not usually result in any noticeable change to the droplet it is running on but if you are doing a lot of disk I/O at the time there is a potential for it to slow down other processes trying to access the disk.
