What are valid host ports can be used by docker to map to 443 SSL

Posted on August 22, 2018

I remember I came across some where (I lost the site), which mentions only certain host ports can be used by Docker in Digital Ocean, to map to docker container’s 443. For instance, here’s the list of mapping I know is valid

443:443
2053:443
8443:443

May I know what else ports can be used? Is there any official document about this?

Hello,

I don’t think that there are any official ports that you should use. As long as you are consistent and document in your own knowledge base what each port is for, then it should be fine I believe.
