I have no idea about ‘Apps’ of DO’s products. Is it PaaS or IaaS? It’s very confusing because, with Apps, you can deploy pre-built applications in seconds.
Anyone who can give me an idea of what exactly it is…?

I guess you’re referring to DigitalOcean’s One-Click-Apps ?
It’s just a pre-configured setup - to make it really fast for you to test and play with that.
For example, the WordPress App, if you did the installation without the app, would require that you setup Ubuntu with Nginx, PHP, MySQL, and did a little configuring, before installing WordPress. Most people use an hour or so doing that - instead of 1-2 minutes with the App.
