I’ve been successfully using S3QL with Amazon’s S3 and would like to use it with DigitalOcean’s Spaces too. So far, I haven’t had any problem.
I would still like to understand the limits regarding consistency, so I can plan accordingly to prevent data loss.

According to https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/spaces/details/features/, it sounds like Spaces is using Ceph to provide the S3 API, and Ceph claims to implement strong consistency.
(that said, I’m only looking at this post because I’m seeing behaviour that seems to contradict that…)
