Question

What is the root password of the mysql server in a DigitalOcean Drupal install?

  • Posted November 10, 2014

I chose the 1-click Drupal install while creating the server. But I need now to create a new database. How do I do that? What is the root password for the database?

Hi, You might set your own root password for MySQL using http://dbversity.com/mysql-root-password/ Hope it’ll be useful for you, not sure about 1-Click Drupal

Thanks, I had forgot to try /usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation

Apparently the root password is not set, because when asked to give the old root password I just hit enter and it worked.

Thanks
