  • DigitalOcean’s APIv2 is now fully RESTful.

  • Better documentation: https://developers.digitalocean.com/v2/

  • New features are exposed:

    • Enable IPv6 where available
    • Change kernels
  • OAuth for client applications

  • Sorry for reviving an old thread. I wasn’t sure if there was a wiki to specifically get feedback about APIv2 specs.

    I wasn’t sure if its possible to read the linux message buffer ring or the boot-up messages to the console through the api, similar to the output of the ‘dmesg’ command. The reasoning is to try to programmatically analyze boot-up problems that might occur when spinning up a new VPS.
