Whats the best replacement for EC2 ELB (Elastic load balancer) on Digital Ocean?

Posted on August 22, 2013

We are considering moving all our servers (6 total) from EC2 to Digital Ocean. One open question for us is the best replacement for ELB on Digital Ocean? Is using NginX the best solution? If so, do we deploy that on a dedicate machine? What type of config will this server need?

In general, is there an EC2 to DO migration guide available? Perhaps a good idea to start on as I’m sure there are others considering this.

I personally use nginx as a load balancer (and a webserver). We have an article on setting up nginx as a load balancer:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-set-up-nginx-load-balancing

Let me know how it goes :]
