Where are snapshots and backup images saved?

Posted on November 24, 2013

Are they saved in a different location like Amazon S3 away from DO?

I am asking this because in the beginning of this year, my image was lost in DO due to server HD failure at the time, hoping that won’t happen again.

Thank you.
